When you connect it to a Mac, only the pre amp lights turn yellow quickly and everything stays off (including the USB), therefore the Mac does not detect it, the +48 LED works but when measuring the input voltage it only works It gives me 4.8V, what could be failing, could it be the USB 3343 Chip?Diego Cobahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07790189680953676102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5033814946565263512.post-1111845149758336192023-12-17T18:49:13.555+02:002023-12-17T18:49:13.555+02:00Hello there - thank you for this post and for answ...Hello there - thank you for this post and for answering so many comments! I have a 2i2 gen 1 which came with a broken USB connector. I replaced it, now Windows can detect that there is something attached but apparently the 2i2 is not sending its ID as it says "device descriptor request failed" (tested on multiple machines). I've used your instructions and the 2i4 schematics to troubleshoot: all voltages are there, I see data transferring from the firmware IC when booting but nothing on the ULPI lines. So either the XMOS has failed or the USB IC has. I'm hoping the USB IC because of the USB port damage. I also removed the firmware IC and compared the dump with the 2i4's someone posted here. They're similar (identical at the beginning) and I also tried programming the IC with the 2i4, but I have the same error. I'm waiting for some replacement USB ICs. If you have any ideas, I'm all ears. And if you or someone have a chance to post a known-working dump of the 2i2 firmware, that would be great. For now, here is my 2i2 gen1 FW dump - but please bear in mind I don't know if it's working or not! https://1drv.ms/u/s!AukePwK7XyEPhO1Kr5a9hdE_do3URA?e=qmi8gn

Thank you!Tony359https://www.blogger.com/profile/02063093181600637563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5033814946565263512.post-36489459134691751052023-08-08T02:07:56.285+03:002023-08-08T02:07:56.285+03:00Hello, I have a faulty 18i8 on my workbench. I moved the two 2122 aside, but the noise persists on the same channel. The defect looks like a pink background noise only on channel 1, however the audio is captured and recorded normally along with this noise. I moved some op amps but the problem persists. Any suggestion?
